Nathanael Smith is a professional jazz pianist born in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and graduated high school from DeKalb School of the Arts where he participated in the school’s Jazz Band. He attended Florida State University, performed with their jazz combos and the top big band, and received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance. He also received a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from Georgia State University, where he also participated in their Jazz Band as well as their Honor’s Combo. He has played performances at professional venues such as B-Sharps Jazz Café, the Amelia Island Jazz Festival, the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, Ruby Diamond Concert Hall, Picocolo 241, and the Velvet Note. Nathanael is now based in Atlanta performing professionally full-time.
